# Creating a research poster

This week we will provide you with background knowledge and skills required for the final poster presentation (happening during the last week of the course).

**Our goals are to:**

- understand the function of a research poster

- discuss norms in designing and presenting posters

- explore tools for creating posters

- workshop the beginnings of your research poster
